Tell us a little bit about you and your background. I’m an average nerdy art teacher. I graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College with a B.F.A in Visual Arts. I’ve had experience from teaching painting classes and creating comics, to framing final artworks. From those ventures I got to see the creative process from beginning to end. My passion is creating character designs for tabletop and video games. What attracted you to work at One River School? What attracted me to One River was the creative atmosphere. Everyone here is so passionate about art, I believe that’s the best kind of environment to create in. How would you describe what it is like to teach here? It’s exciting, the days are never boring. Read MoreTell us a little bit about you and your background. I graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. Since graduating, I have worked as a public school Ceramics/Visual Arts teacher and did window displays for Anthropologie. I specialize in textural and sculptural elements in painting. I am largely into the live music & arts scene. Since I was a little girl, my parents have been taking me to shows. After graduating college, I began to take my painting to live shows and even work live with the creative community. What attracted you to work at One River School? Read MoreTell us a little bit about your journey as a young and developing artist. I’ve always been very artistic from a young age and enjoyed sketching and was always interested in design. I originally wanted to be an architect but I realized that math was not my strong suit and that it’s necessary for that profession. Nowadays I want to become a fashion designer and eventually create my own line of upcycled repurposed clothing. My ability to draw has helped me to map out some of my ideas involving fashion. Which has been your favorite project to work on at One River and why? The fashion design project has been my favorite because it has helped me develop my passion for fashion design.
