Tell us a little bit about you and your background. I’m a graduate of Pratt Institute and a teacher with 19 years of experience, teaching from Pre-K -12th grade. I’m currently working at Leonia HS, teaching ceramics, and 6th grade art in Leonia school district.   What attracted you to work at One River School? The passion and commitment from the teachers and students.   How would you describe what it’s like to teach here? I started work in the UK and moved to the US when my company opened an office in NYC. 5 years after I moved here, I married a NYC native and opened my own recruitment business in the City.  When that business closed, I decided to work locally and ended up at the School of Rock for a time, which is where I first met Matt Ross, One River’s Founder and CEO. Kids Art Shuffle (K-2) Favorite Things Overview: Students create a mixed media work inspired by the work of JJ Manford, combining representational drawing, colored pencil drawing, color gradient acrylic painting, and collage. Tell us a little bit about your journey as a young and developing artist. I became interested in art when I started taking classes here. I wasn’t that good when I started, but I grew to love art the longer I attended. I think that I have gotten better by working hard on the projects and being persistent.    Which has been your favorite project to work on at One River and why? My favorite project was doing the drawing of the eagle in the Kids Drawing class. It was challenging, but I liked how much time it took to complete.
