I ended up becoming a teacher in 2019 and have been ever since. What attracted you to work at One River School? I was looking to expand my teaching horizons and teach in new ways, and some of my students had mentioned coming to One River, so I immediately jumped at the opportunity when there was an opening. How would you describe what it is like to teach here? Working at One River is such a delightful experience, it really lets me as an educator work with different projects and students, and lets me have unique experiences and opportunities that I wouldn’t have had normally in an education space. I have a degree in International Relations and another in Fashion Design and had the thrill of studying art in Paris for a semester. I am ridiculously proud of my 2 sons and happily married to my college sweetheart. And I can’t believe my good fortune that I’ve gotten to be 2 of the things I wanted to be when I was a kid – a fashion designer and an art teacher. What attracted you to work at One River School? I’ve been drawing my entire life and over time grew an interest in character illustration and comics! What attracted you to work at One River School? The absolute range of classes was so wonderful to see. I grew up with studio art classes, and I always had a focus on digital illustration. It’s so incredible to see manga and digital illustration/animation as a focus for students here! How would you describe what it is like to teach here?
