Over the last 10 years, I have developed so many relationships with artists that I treasure. In some cases, we have had the chance to exhibit their work as well. This past weekend was really special because I happened to be lucky enough to have a West Coast trip timed perfectly to visit the opening exhibition in Los Angeles for EJ Hauser.

There’s something about EJ’s abstract paintings that feel musical and spiritual to me. We have included her work before in exhibitions at One River and we have written about EJ in our blog as well. EJ is one of the most beloved people in the artworld and also one of the hardest working. In the last few years, I have been thrilled to see her artwork start to generate traction and she is now working with some of the more important galleries in the world.

A few months ago, I reached out to EJ and she agreed to show some paintings again this winter at One River School. We are now installing her work at our school in Westport, Connecticut and EJ will be visiting in March to connect with our community there.

There is something special about watching the evolution and success of someone you admire.
