Grades K-3 | Our core art program for Grades K-2 that allows students to become well-rounded artists by shuffling drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media. Students engage in One River School’s innovative curriculum inspired by contemporary artists that stimulates their imagination and helps them develop essential technical skills in a fun classroom environment. If you have been with us before, don't worry we have an all new set of projects and artists to draw inspiration from! River Vale Community Center Focus on Cartooning

This class is designed for students in Grades 2-5 who want to learn the fundamentals of cartooning and illustration through fun projects that stimulate their imagination. Students draw inspiration from cartoonists and illustrators from around the world as they develop their own cartooning style. They will create compelling projects explore character design, comic-book creation and help students develop dynamic storylines. Students will create artwork that showcases original characters in their own cartooning style. If you have been with us before, don't worry we have an all new set of projects and artists to draw inspiration from! Happily Ever After: Storybook Art Camp at River Vale Community Center

Over the course of the week, we will read five stories, discover how their illustrations were made, and talk about the meaning of each story. Learn to Draw: The Portrait

Grades 6-12 | While being inspired by Chuck Close, students will be exploring the graphite medium and learn the foundations of drawing. Students will look closely at the human face to learn how to render it naturalistically, along with learning the proper facial proportions.

Grades 6-12 | Learn to paint on your iPad with this introductory camp to the program Procreate. Students will explore a series of illustrations designed to walk through the essentials of the program. This class is designed for beginners to develop a foundational understanding of the program and discover unique skills to aid them in their future digital paintings.
