Tell us a little bit about you and your background

Hello! My name is Tara and I have been creating art using every medium I could get my hands on since childhood. I graduated from Rutgers with a degree in Painting and Ceramics but found a passion for illustration markers and polymer clay recently. I have worked in the customer service sphere since college and am always drawn to jobs that marry art, sales and teaching. 

What attracted you to work at ORS?

When I saw the posting for One River it seemed too perfect an opportunity to pass up, and I am so glad that I took that leap. Working here is amazing! Being surrounded by young artists, talented coworkers, and an amazing corporate staff has been such a gratifying experience for me day after day. One River definitely keeps me on my toes and I love having a job that values contemporary working artists and fosters creativity from pre-k and beyond. 

What do you enjoy outside of ORS?

When I am not working I like to spend time with my nephews, my friends and of course, my cats! I’m very excited to enjoy October by going to haunted houses, apple picking, and doing a lot of creepy SFX makeup for Halloween!
