Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

I graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Studio Art and double minors in Art History and Digital Art. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working two fulfilling roles, one as an art teacher and the other as a creative assistant. While I love both, teaching art is where my heart is. It’s what drives me the most, and I’m eager to continue inspiring and educating for many years down the line.

What attracted you to work at One River School?

One Rivers commitment to encourage creativity and individuality. I believe that providing a safe and supportive environment for artistic expression is essential in any educational space, and that’s exactly what ORS excels at.

How would you describe what it is like to teach here?

It’s so much fun! I work alongside the best staff and have the greatest students. I look forward to coming in each day.

What has been your favorite project to teach and why?

One of my favorite lessons is the ‘One Artwork A Day’ project during camps. It gives students the chance to create something new each day while experimenting with different art mediums. They love it because the short, focused projects keep things fresh, and they’re always excited to explore a new medium the following day.

Is there a special One River moment that stands out for you?

My favorite moment is when you receive positive feedback from your students. It’s always rewarding to hear how they love the class and how much fun they have when they come in.

What do you enjoy outside of One River?

I like spending time outdoors and with my cat. Anything related to nature, animals, and art is what excites me most in life outside of One River.
