Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

Graduated from Film School in 2008. Spent a short time working in the Dallas film scene in various roles within video production before transition to a career in technology sales. From there I started to realize that my creativity was not being realized in my current environment. I decided then to make a jump back into the world visual arts. In 2013 I started a position as Admissions Director at Mediatech Institute, a Film and Audio School in Dallas, TX. This led me into a great amount of experience in how a passion of art meets a pursuit in education. In 2010, I joined the One River team by opening the company’s first franchise location in Frisco, TX.

What attracted you to work at One River School?

One River had such a focused and positive culture built around the brand that immediately drew me in. The story behind the company resonated with me in a very strong way – I knew I was joining a team with a lot of integrity and doing business for all the right reasons.

How would you describe your team?

The Frisco One River team is a very fun group of hardworking artists. Everyone here is incredibly talented and loves what they do. I don’t think we have ever had a stronger team than we do right now.

What do you think we do best at One River?

How we structure the lesson plans is what I think really sets us apart. The idea that we are more focused on the journey of exploring art rather than cranking out a quickly made painting every week is I believe where we really make a big difference. Giving the ability to create your own unique concepts is what really draws in our students.

Who or what motivates you?

At One River, I am motivated by seeing the students express themselves. There is nothing better than having our kids or teens show off their artwork with such pride of what they were able to accomplish. to accomplish.

Is there a special One River moment that stands out for you?

The day we opened the Frisco location was my most special moment. Seeing the community embrace our business was such an amazing day.

What do you enjoy outside of One River?

Outside One River, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. My time at home is mainly comprised of taking my 4 year old to the park and building him Lego sets. I love watching movies. My favorite sport is Sumo and I watch every tournament.
