Last week I had the pleasure of taking almost 30 of our key employees to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Besides having an incredible day, I found myself thinking about our growth and evolving landscape against the backdrop of New York’s evolving landscape.

10 years have passed since we started One River, and looking at my team onsite for the day helped me to experience our evolution in real-time.  It just so happens that when we went to the rooftop to take some pictures, I couldn’t help but also reflect on how greatly New York has changed and the skyline that I stared at as a kid looks almost entirely different today.

Sometimes we all long for “the way things were”.  For better or worse, I rarely get caught up in that.  The majesty of New York City, despite all of its current challenges, is awesome and remains inspiring to me today.

And, as a small business that has fought hard to create a service that worked and sustained itself during a pandemic, despite all of the challenges we may face, One River and our incredible people remain inspiring to me today as well.
