Thanksgiving may be the most universally loved holiday for Americans. It comes with no quid pro quo, just a simple pause to hang with family and friends and to share a moment of gratitude. To this point, I want to take a moment to share some gratitude of my own.

Last week we opened our 9th school in Chicago, Illinois in the very cool and very quaint community known as Lincoln Square. One River has grown up and I am humbled by the work that my creative and caring team does every day to bring a compelling and fun experience to communities across the country. We don’t survive on grants…we have to build trust and loyalty by doing a great job and we now have over 120 people in five states giving their heart and soul to their community while providing a transformative art education experience.

And of course, we couldn’t be successful without the support of those communities. We serve thousands of students from Adults all the way down to pre K and I am thankful that people try us, stick with us and talk about us to their friends and families. Teaching art & design is not the simplest way to make a living but it is my chosen path and not a day goes by where I don’t appreciate the love we get from our students and customers.
