Without a doubt, one of the key elements of our mission is to be the “best place to work in the arts”. Having said that, it goes without saying that the promise comes full circle when we find the best people.
Today, I am happy to announce that we are promoting Agnes Zabawa, our second employee who started with us over five years ago, to the position of Vice President Operations. Agnes has done every job there is to do at One River, and she’s become a key driver in our success. She started with us in 2012, taking on the role of Assistant Marketing Director at our Englewood school. Today she is responsible for operations, training and developing the teams that run our schools.
One of the things that made me most proud when I was building School of Rock into the world leader in music education was the fact that we created thousands of jobs for working musicians. We are on that path at One River and by the end of 2018 I anticipate over 200 employees working at our schools. Our staff will be comprised of people teaching art, celebrating contemporary artists and providing unique experiences for people in towns from coast to coast.
