Homeland

Homeland (don’t worry—I don’t reveal what happened!)
I watched the finale of Homeland on Showtime last night and was proud that I actually watched the season finale when it aired. Remember when watching TV was a real appointment and the best you could do was tape it on your VCR? Not that long ago–wow how the world has changed! The last show that was a “must watch” every week for me was the Sopranos. I don’t watch that much TV despite the fact that there are so many new shows that people are excited about. Truth is, I tell myself I am going to watch it later on DVR, then I fall ten shows behind and never have the time to get caught up.
Isn’t it crazy that we add stress to our lives over something that should be fun and relaxing? For instance, every time someone takes a class here they say: “I am so happy I finally took the time to do this.” Unlike TV, you can’t DVR our classes, so when people sign up they are focused on enjoying what we do and show up with a real sense of interest–with no stress.
Okay, now let me go back to my stressful TV plan. My wife just got me the 2nd season of Breaking Bad! Four seasons behind, 40-50 hours–ugh. Nah, I’m taking some photography classes!
