July 1st is the 182nd day of the year and there are 183 days remaining until the end of 2013. Why is this important? Well, in some sense it isn’t because every day is just another day. However, most people need to bake some significance into the mundane calendar to create goals and benchmark where they want to go.
Another way to look at July 1st is it is the OFFICIAL start of summer to me. Ever since I was a kid I never felt that summer began in June. July rocks because it seems to bring the longer, warmer days and a time when things seem to slow down. This is the time to take advantage of these precious days when people’s moods are better, things are less crowded and el Sol is plentiful.So, I’m not gonna create any downer here. No talk about Fall coming and the end of the year just six months away. Get out your contact book and call some friends, book some dinners, get to the beach, play some loud music and get your party on. The dog days of August are around the corner.PS: Oh yeah, It’s Canada Day!
