We’re Having a Baby!

Yes, One River School is multiplying…we’re opening our 2nd location in Allendale, NJ this September and I couldn’t be more excited about it. It’s been almost four years since we launched One River in Englewood and created “a new direction in art education.”

The goal from the start was to do three things: make learning art fun, generate ambitious artistic outcomes and teach a more current / contemporary approach to art making. The feedback has been phenomenal and I am humbled by the support we have received from our community and our thousands of students.

Having said that, we live in a crowded place where time demands, traffic and stuff gets in the way, thus preventing some folks from visiting with us in Englewood. So, we are moving west to connect with new communities on the other side of Bergen County and I am sure we will provide new experiences to make life more fulfilling there.

Matt Ross

Matt Ross is the Founder of One River School of Art + Design. Since 2012, One River has grown from one location in Englewood, NJ to fifteen schools in six states with a goal to “transform art education” across America. Prior to One River School, Matt was the CEO of School of Rock, where he built the company into the world leader in music education for kids. Prior to his experience with School of Rock, Matt held a variety of management positions in broadcasting, working for diverse media companies such as Clear Channel, CBS and Viacom. He is also active in promoting Autism awareness and supporting emerging artists and is passionate about collecting Contemporary Art with a focus on painting, mixed media and drawing.
