Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

I’m a graduate of Pratt Institute and a teacher with 19 years of experience, teaching from Pre-K -12th grade. I’m currently working at Leonia HS, teaching ceramics, and 6th grade art in Leonia school district.

What attracted you to work at One River School?

The passion and commitment from the teachers and students.

How would you describe what it’s like to teach here?

It’s great to be part of a school that can balance a fun environment, where students can make new friends while creating challenging art projects.

What has been your favorite project to teach and why?

During last summer camps when we used Monster Clay. This was a new material for me to use, and the students had so much fun using it. The finished projects far exceeded my expectations.

Is there a special One River moment that stands out for you?

During one of the summer classes, my students became such good friends within a week that they organized an end of the week party. Their projects were pretty amazing too 😊.

What do you enjoy outside of One River?

I enjoy creating my own art and gardening.
