Thankful

unnamed (23)

As I get older, one of the things that makes me happiest is to share some joy and help others. So, I thought I would take a minute to pass along some thoughts after Thanksgiving so that we can keep the gratitude going that I felt last week.

Recently, I was reading the latest issue of National Geographic magazine and the cover story “Space” put a few things in perspective for me. Earth is 4.5 Billion Years Old and there are 200 Billion Trillion stars (yes that is right) … so, our 80-ish years on this planet makes us a microscopic piece of dust in time.

Here’s the key point. Appreciate this moment. Lean in on what you have and what you can do with your time. Spread some love. Help others. Get involved. Put your anger and frustration away, accept what you can’t change and be patient and tolerant of others.

11 years into operating One River, we remain excited about helping people to learn and grow.  This is our mission and we are thankful for your support.
