I am obsessive about photography when it comes to our brand. And, at first glance the image above may present as imperfect. But, in reality, it actually presents a perfect metaphor to the journey we have been on.

Five years ago, we signed a lease to open a school on Northern Blvd, within the spectacular North Shore of Nassau County, NY. Last week, we had our formal ribbon cutting to celebrate our pending opening, Along the way we have fought through the pandemic and numerous building, site and zoning issues, but “the ray of sunshine” that you see in the photo is pure optimism shining through.

As I write this note on 9/11, I am abundantly aware of the solemn moment as well. I was in Manhattan that day and it forever changed my life. Somehow, twenty-two years later, I have been granted the chance to share joy and to help others via One River School and our transformative experience for students of all ages and levels. And in this moment, we can reflect on the sun shining on Long Island and the engagement that we are so excited to share with the community there.
