Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

I received my BFA from The Maryland Institute College Of Art (MICA) in Painting and my MFA from Brooklyn College in Interdisciplinary Sculpture. I have since gone off to teach art for 8+ years at all levels including the collegiate level. I taught in the art department at the University of Texas at El Paso for 3 years. I have since moved to New York and became a part of the One River Family in January 2022.

What attracted you to work at One River School?

Working at One River Is truly what I love to do. I am able to become part of a family of people who all love what they do. We are all artists and educators at heart and I love working with others who are passionate about what we provide to our students. I love being part of a school that truly provides high quality art lessons and values art with the attention and care that it deserves. What better place to be every day than an Art School!

How would you describe your role here?

My role as the Director at One River Hartsdale is truly a fun and rewarding one. I get to be part of leading a team to success and growth. It’s a business yet creative role.

What do you think we do best at One River?

What One River does best is taking its employee’s and student’s opinions and advice into consideration. They are constantly striving to be the best at what they do and It truly shows.

Is there a special One River moment that stands out for you?

A few moments stand out to me. I do have to say I love it the most when I see a student who is struggling with a skill or concept; achieve it!

As teachers we truly care about our student growth and it really warms my heart to see our instruction lead to success in a student!
