No matter how you slice it, luck plays an important role in determining your success in life. And, I’m not really speaking about financial success. What I’m talking about is fulfillment… you’ve got to be really lucky to find a pathway that allows you to do what you really love to do.

Ten years ago I stumbled on the idea of creating One River School. I had left my position as the CEO of School of Rock and was in search of something that allowed me to pick up where I left off. So, I thought to myself: “how come there are no cool art schools in my neighborhood”. That’s not to say that there weren’t any places where people could learn to paint or draw, it simply meant that I felt there needed to be a place that was slightly more irreverent and interesting. So One River was born.

Today we are 14 locations, and this month we’re about to kick off our most compelling summer camps ever. And, we are embarking on something really special for this fall. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary with a tremendous array of special events that will be focused on supporting the local communities that we operate in.

Thank you all for helping us find our way through Covid and allowing us to play a role in your lives. I am truly lucky.
