One River's Teen Art programs are built around our unique, project-based curriculum that celebrates the most compelling artists and techniques from today and the last 50 years. We make learning art fun and produce ambitious artistic outcomes across a wide array of materials, subject matter and complexity. Students have fun, develop their personal art skills, gain knowledge of art history and make friends.
TEEN ART SHUFFLE
Teen Art Shuffle is the unique project-based method that we developed at our innovative art school. Classes meet once per week for 90 minutes and new students are immediately introduced to a project allowing us to benchmark their skill level. After completion, we begin to "shuffle" the projects every 4-5 sessions. We vary the materials and concepts so that students develop new and different skills while having a lot of fun. Great for teen students of all levels.
TEEN ART FOCUS
Teen Art Focus classes at One River offer our teen students a fun and disciplined experience by taking a deep dive into one specific medium at a time. Our classes meet once per week for 90 minutes and this is a great class for improving and focusing on technical skills. Choose the medium of your choice, we apply our project based learning approach so students grow their skills and have fun. Focus classes are offered seasonally in drawing and illustration.
TEEN ART SHUFFLE PLUS
Designed for advanced students grades 6 through 12 who demonstrate a commitment to visual art and possess proficient skills. Artwork created allows students build an impressive body of work for a portfolio. Teen Art Shuffle Plus is as close as you can get to an authentic college-level studio art experience.
