Art Effect: High School Competition Opening ReceptionFriday May 31, 2013 - 06:00PM-10:00PMFree Join us on May 31st from 6-10pm for One River's first juried high school student competition, Art Effect. The event is a wonderful opportunity to see the talented local high school students showcase their artwork. The exhibition will be open from May 31st through June 2nd. Students from five area schools - Cresskill High School, Dwight Englewood High School, Northern Valley High School in Old Tappan and Demarest, and Tenafly High School - will be participating in the event. Each of the five participating high schools will curate their own exhibitions at One River Gallery based on submissions from their students. The submissions will be in a wide range of media, including drawing and painting, photography, and 3D models. The competition will be juried by John O'Connor, Professor of Undergraduate Drawing and Painting at Sarah Lawrence and Princeton and Clint Jukkula, Associate Professor of Painting and Director of Undergraduate Studies at Yale. Art Effect: Spring Student Opening ReceptionFriday Jun 14, 2013 - 06:00PM-09:00PMFree Join us on Friday, June 14th from 6-9pm for a celebration of the artwork made by One River students during winter and spring of 2013. The exhibit showcases the work of students from all across Bergen County, studying at One River School of Art & Design. These creative connoisseurs of their craft range in ages from 4 years old to adults. The exhibit will be on view at One River Gallery through June 16th. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. |
