We are about to begin our fifth year at One River School in Englewood and I am starting to reflect on the fact that we have watched lots of kids grow up with us. We have also seen some of them turn into amazing artists and I am proud to say that we are scratching the surface of one of our core goals: to create the next generation of great artists.

So, let me introduce you to a student who has something special to share. Phoebe Hort represents the type of authentic, cool, sweet, smart, sophisticated and fearless young artist that I am proud to have at One River School. When she joined us, she was super-shy but I always knew she had a real creative sensibility and I have watched her challenge and push herself to new heights

This fall, we will embark on a multi-city pop up exhibition called Art Effect and Phoebe’s work will be front and center. I will tell you more about this project soon…I think it is one of the coolest things we have ever done and it serves as an audacious educational experience for our most advanced teen artists. Phoebe has risen to the challenge and I take great pride in the role we have played helping her to become a great young artist and a thoughtful young lady as well.
